Sky Mall Kitties

We've all been there, locked in the flying tin-can known as commercial air travel, forced to read Sky Mall catalogs just to avoid the obnoxious, loquacious and odiferous person seated next to us, through no fault of our own. Here's another view of Sky Mall.

Trippy Friskies Cat Food Ads

Via Slate

I personally never thought of cat food in relation to psychedelics, but this new Friskies ad begs the question: Just how high do you want your cat to get? Below are the original and an even trippier You-Tube version of the ads.

The Cat Swims!

In this CBS News RAW video -- The Cat swims!. As many have pointed out: Cats are not known to be fans of water. Cats are suppose to hate water. To avoid water. If a  cat sees water coming one way, the cat goes the other way. Have you ever seen anybody try to give a cat a bath? Then you know what I mean. But the cat in the video, Prinny the Persian cat, doesn't seem to mind getting the paws wet.

I pointed this video out to a friend of mine, a lady, who owns a couple of cats. She watched it and asked: So what's the big deal? I said: A swimming cat! She said: Yeah? So? You saw that dog swimming, didn't you? Don't you think the cat saw him too? The cat isn't blind. Do you think a self-respecting feline would allow himself to be shown up by a dog?. If the dog swims, one should expect the cat to master the trick. So what's the big deal?

Question about Multiple Cats

My boyfriend and I will be moving in together in a couple of months and we're trying to figure out how we're going to integrate our two kitties. My cat is five years-old andI've had her since she was a few weeks old. His cat will be 5 months-old when we move in together, he is a tabby. Basically we don't know what to do about the kitty litter box situation. Can they share one litter box, or is it better that they each have their own? Same goes about food and scratch posts. Also, these two kitties haven't met yet. Is it a bad idea to have two cats of such different ages living together? My kitty is fixed, but his is still too young... I'm very nervous about these cats not getting along. Any advice?
