Buy a few parakeets and let them loose in the house and watch your cat tear them to shreds. Also I trap birds so I don't need to buy birds for my cats and I let them loose in the house and my cats all hunt them down and have themselves a hearty meal of bird. Usually sparrow. Although if i I catch a pigeon, that is a gourment meal for them.

Please for the sake of your cats health, do not allow him to eat birds!!! Yes he instinctively wants them, but we are talking about a domesticated cat here, and it could make him very sick, maybe even kill him!! And also it is illegal to buy birds, especially parakeets and other exotic birds for the purpose of allowing them to be slaughtered. The humane society and the government will come looking for you if they hear that you are killing exotic birds!

your cat is crazy, but no need to worry. just keep it inside for some time and when do let out keep an eye on it . and show who is boss!!!!
