hey! well i have four cats that all nip bite and scratch. Ur cats turning into an adult around about now and i think sometimes cats do it to say "back off". If it does hurt u tap its nose or back and tell it to stop it it wil then realsie ur still the boss and u know whats right. Some times if u play with a cats too much it gets annoyed and aggitated. And if ur cat has a hold of ur arm or hand when its hurting u kepp ur hand very still and the cat thinks its victim is dead and wil stop and ease off. Hope some of thats a bit of info!! Good luck!! Kitty can be rough at times, I know. But Kitty can be trained. Don't let anyone tell you that Cat's can't be trained because they can. I trained two cats to stay off counters, not to beg for table food, and to stay out of the house plants. Here's how it works.:
Get yourself 3x5 index cards. Keep a few around the house, especially in places you don't want your cat to go. When you see him do something you don't like you tap him on the NOSE with the card. You don't have to do this hard, you see cats hate to have their noses smacked. Smacking a cat on the rump doesn't phase him. Only on the face will it let him know you mean business. It doesn't hurt him, it just let's him know who's boss. So if your kitty is biting to hard, tap his nose. You must be consistant! If you let him do it one time and not another he will be confused. It will take a little time but it will work. Don't give up! Persistance and consistance is what it needs, just like a child that doesn't mind. Remember this Kitty will be with you for at least 10 years. If you don't train him now you will have trouble down the road. P.S. I learned this technique from a person who trains cats to act in the movies. Good luck and by the way make sure you keep Kitty's claws trimmed.

my cat was the same way.. i heard to rub some tabasco sauce where your cat bites you, and when he does he'll taste the sauce and follow that with a firm "gentle". good luck
